We're proud to announce that AC Hoylake has be chosen as an SSE Wildcats Centre, to help further develop football for girls aged between 5 and 11-years old.

What is SSE Wildcats?

SSE Wildcats is an FA backed initiative to organised football sessions in a fun and engaging environment created exclusively for girls aged between 5 and 11-years old. Established in partnership with SSE, supporters of girls’ football participation and sponsor of the SSE Women’s FA Cup, the initiative also has the support of UEFA, FIFA and the Youth Sport Trust.

There are over 880 SSE Wildcats Centres across the UK, making football accessible for more than 20,000 girls.

The aim of the initiative is to inspire girls to play football, meet new friends, develop fundamental skills, learn new things and create the foundation for a football as a way of life.

Alongside the football for girls activities, there will also be 'Family Sessions', with activities such as Soccercise and Walking Football, so that any attending parents, carers and siblings can join in and promote football as a game for all the family.

Each SSE Wildcats club will be run in conjunction with local County FAs and utilising qualified coaches and local facilities to offer girls a location nearby where they can get involved, and sessions will take place on a weekly basis, either after school or at weekends.
