It can be a tough life between the sticks – as if spending half the game away from most of the action wasn’t bad enough, watching players mistime tackles, misplace passes, and miss absolute sitters, the one mistake you make all game can end up in the back of the net and the entire team is on your back.

It’s no wonder the first rule of goalkeeping is to always blame your defenders!

But there’s only so many times you can shout at your centre backs, and specialised goalkeeper training can help even the most competent of ‘keepers.

When, where and how much is the goalkeeper training?

The four-week goalkeeper training course takes place on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays from October 1st, at Belvidere Recreation Ground in Wallasey (CH45 4RY).

The training course is available for all aspiring goalies aged from 7 to 16, and costs £20 for the four week course.
