The goals came raining in ...........

Comets took to the field in a cup game against Vauxhall Motors Corsa on a cold day but play from the Comets from the start warmed up the spectators and they kept the pressure going throughout the game. All eight of the Comets played a strong and attacking game and defended in numbers as well as breaking out through midfield.
Play from the start was attacking and also Vaxhall Motors seized their chances on the break and Zach playing in goal made some superb and commanding saves throughout the game to keep the Comets in the match. Time and time again when the ball was in his area he dominated and pushed the ball away, cleared his line and caught the ball giving the opposition no clear opportunity.
Callum playing in various positions had chances cleared and clear runs on goal and he took his opportunities well to score from distance, and close range and also created chances from corners and midfield. He also played in defence and breaking up attacks by the opposition and passing the ball forward for Lucas and Alfie to run on to.
Lucas played his normal attacking and challenging game causing the opposition many problems both in midfield and running onto the ball and shooting at goal. He took his chance well from a pass from near the corner flag and knocked the ball in from close range.
Alfie from the start created problems with his runs from midfield and his ability to tackle the opposition and then spray the ball forward. He made himself available to receive the ball and create chances with accurate passes that the opposition couldn't deal with. His pass from just by the corner flag created the chance for Comets to score.
Harry playing in defence broke up play and cleared the ball to stop the opposition moving forward. As the opposition ran towards goal he stood his ground and got tackles in and cleared the ball to break up attacks. In set pieces Harry defended well and cleared his lines and assisted Zach in goalmouth scrambles.
Sam with his determination and his never give up attitude caused the opposition problems when he was coming forward. His breaks through from defence and his runs on the opposition goal created his opportunities to score which he took with a very cool head. Sam also playing in defence broke up play as the opposition tried to break forward and his passes created chances for the Comets.
Frankie playing his normal challenging and passing game broke up play as the opposition tried to make runs on goal. His runs from his own half and taking on of players caused problems throughout the game. He continued to support and challenge for the ball and create opportunities for his fellow players .
Isaac in his defensive role characterised the way that he plays as he breaks up opposition play and carries the ball forward and then passes to create chances throughout the game. He also tackles for the ball and clears the ball as the opposition try to come forward.
Overall a fantastic display by all players that took part in the match and each and everyone in their own way contributed to a brilliant display of football and a very deserved win
