Club Statement On Winter Training

The club applied for its usual pitches last April and have been chasing up over the last few weeks once the venues and schools reopened.

Training facilities this season are at about a third of normal capacity possibly even slightly less.

The main Reasons -
Reduced pitch hire at Bidston.
Oval shut, Pensby shut.
No indoor training at any WBC sports centres and many of the normal schools are not hiring currently at all.

Bidston cancelled all of last years slots for all clubs.

A huge headache, we had 14 teams there. With the other venue closures half of the club do not have last years training slot.

We have approached 25 possible locations for availability.

We will ensure all teams has an offer of training at a winter venue, It just may not be the night or venue the team requested.

More options will come available nearer Christmas but for now we will have to settle with what we have.

We can only apologise to all players, coaches and parents for this disruption to normal winter training but unfortunately it’s out of our control.
