A key member in the running of our club for many years

Our long standing club Secretary Rich Magee recently hung up his boots after being involved with the club for an incredible 16 years.

Rich started a team which was his oldest son Reece's age group. The team was our fourth ever team to begin existence at AC Hoylake and did fantastically well to get all the way from Under 6's to Under 17's. This is quite a feat and not many teams manage to get through that many seasons.
The team finished a few years ago but Rich continued in his role as club secretary.
Rich's other son Bill played for the club too, his progress was spotted by Wrexham where he has recently been given a contract.

Rich became club secretary in 2009 the same time that Paul Williams became chairman. It was at this point that the club really started to develop into one of the best clubs around. At the time we had around 14 teams, we now currently stand at 37 teams and approx 450 players.

Rich was always good at dealing with the trickier incidents that can occasionally occur and was always great to turn to.
When we got the drainage works done at Acres road it was Rich that sat on the mower for 3 hours a week to keep it in tip top condition during the drain settlement.

In 2012/13 Richard was named Club Secretary Of The Year by the Eastham League.

Chairman Paul Williams commented, "Rich has been a great asset to the club, for many years the two of us pretty much did everything between us, we wish him well for the future."

Fireman Rich is also keeping wife Lisa and sons Reece and Bill nice and occupied with a house building project.

We all thank Rich for his fantastic service to the club and wish him and the family the very best for the future.
