Breaking news : AC Hoylake is to launch its first ever adult team.

AC Hoylake is known far-and-wide for the great work it does coaching kids' and youth football, and promoting the game for all under-18 age groups - never a club to let the grass grow under its feet, this week sees the launch of its first ever adult team.

What's this AC Hoylake adult team all about?

AC Hoylake was established in 2001, recognising the need for a local junior football club, to serve the community of Hoylake and West Kirby. Successive junior teams have been introduced every season, but now the keen coaches and parents have the chance to pull on the maroon shirts and represent the club in the newly launched Chester and Wirral Flexi 11s League (CFWL).

Under 10s Comets coach, Danny Young, will take on managerial duties, and the team will be made up of coaches, parents and close friends of the club.

When and where will AC Hoylake seniors play?

The Chester and Wirral Flexi 11s League is an 11-a-side league that offers ten divisions covering open age, veterans, and Flexi football, which are hour-long 11-a-side matches with five roll-on/roll-off substitutes.

AC Hoylake's opening fixture will be played this coming Friday (January 12) on the full- sized 3G pitch at Woodchurch Leisure Centre, with subsequent games being played fortnightly.
