Pitch Closures This Weekend

By Paul Williams

The rain has caused many games to be cancelled with lots of pitches waterlogged

Football fixtures scheduled to take place on Wirral Council-managed grass pitches this weekend 9th and 10th March have had to be postponed due to the impact of recent weather.

This affects our home pitches at Newton Park and Irby Park, Greasby Junior has also been called off. Great Meols school and Acres Road are to be inspected on Friday.

If you are due to play an away tie on a private or school pitch your game may still be on, some games have been moved to 3G pitches. Your manger will clarify if this is the case.
